Festival Director

I was the Festival Director of the Imagine Create event between 2008 and 2012. The biennial festival brought together world leading artists, developers, academics, and business leaders to discuss all aspects creativity.

Learning Technologist

University of Ulster, 2005-2010

A varied and challenging role which involved working closely with academic and technical staff in the development and implementation of technology assisted teaching, and industry relevant training; specifically in the areas of creative technologies*, dance, design, drama and music. As a new role within the University and given the significant development of the School during this period, the role expanded to include the following: lead role in ongoing web development and administration, module supervision, project supervision, research in interactive systems, industry liaison.

* In 2008 I played a leading role in the design and development of the Creative Technologies programme.

Media Consultant

Eurotek Ireland Ltd. 2004 -2005

Guided clients in creating audio and visual techniques to aid in the presentation of marketing collateral. This included project conceptualisation, audio-visual equipment selection and configuration, analysis and reporting of media effectiveness, consumer and client liaison, selection and organisation of media content providers. Clients included: Royal Bank of Scotland, Oracle, AIB, Bank of Ireland, Nestle, Pfizer, Janssen-Cilag, Toyota, Lexus, BMW, Sony, ESB, CRH, Vodafone, O2, FAI, IRFU, TV3, Guinness, Coors Light, and Heineken.


Trinity College Dublin 2003 - 2005

Co-ordinated and taught the final-year performance module within the Music and Media Technologies masters degree at Trinity College Dublin. This module was designed to encourage students to explore all facets of live performance, media integration, and event production by having them conceptualise and stage three audiovisual events per academic year. I was responsible for all aspects of the module including the production and delivery of course materials/resources, scheduling, assessment, production, and budgetary management.

Lecturer (Part Time)

Sumo Multimedia (now Hedgehogs vs Foxes) 2003 - 2004

Responsible for all technical operations including: the development of the post-production facility; audio and image production; in-house systems and IT; sales and purchasing.

Technical Director

Temple Lane Recording Studios 1996 - 2001

Main activities and responsibilities included: maintaining an effective recording and production environment throughout the three studio facility; music production including recording and extensive MIDI programming; machine maintenance; facility development; client liaison.

Production Engineer

Soundtrack (Boston & New York) 1995 - 1996

As part of a production team of eight, I was involved in the production of television and radio advertisements including the original composition of music jingles and sound design. As a leading US post-production facility, I further gained valuable experience in machine room operations, duplication, and ISDN transmission.

Production Engineer
